Things that scare friends away.

"Sometimes you meet a person and you just click and you are comfortable with them like you know them your whole life and you don't have to pretend to be anyone or anything around them" For me, that's true friendship.

Friendship is a very important relationship in life it's basically the foundation of every relationship in your life so it's important we value it because without friends, life would be dull and to some extent meaningless.

You guys might thinking having a true friend is kind of hard to find and even more harder to keep, you would have to invest time and effort in doing that but believe me once you find that special friend you get to discover some cool benefits in have a BFF, like
  • When you are feeling lonely and depressed they always know how to make you feel better.
  • They are the best support during bad times.
  • They are the best people to confined in.
  • The time you spend with them is indeed lots of fun.
  • Sometimes being with your friend is all the therapy we need.

Personally, I feel friends are really important in life but most people don't understand the power of such a wonderful relationship and sometimes exhibit some bad behavior *some might be aware while others might not* that often scare or even destroy beautiful friendship.

So wondering why it's sometimes hard in keeping a quality friendship here are common behaviors that scare people away and make it difficult to keep a wonderful friendship.

Things that scare friends away.

Acting arrogant.
Arrogance is such an unpleasant behavior and people who have this behavior pattern tend to feel they are better than others and deserve to be treated better and believe me, no one likes to be around someone with this egocentric behavior

Its something I like to refer to as people repellent so try to be more humble, is admirable.

Being jealous.

Jealousy has a negative impact on the person who is the target of the “green-eyed monster” and people tend to find this behavior kind of irritating.

Imagine being around someone who constantly compares themselves with others and spends their time talking about what other people have instead of working on getting what they want is indeed energy-draining no one wants a friend like that.

Being grateful for who you are and what you have is a better quality to exhibit.

Blaming others.

Blaming others is a way of putting people down so naturally is a great way to push any friend away and even create an environment where there is no trust.

people who are so quick to point fingers and play the blame game are not fans of accountability, so they choose not to be responsible for the outcome of any situation they are in.

Blaming others obviously have it's effective because people don't like to be around someone who loves the blame game, so one has to be accountable for any mistakes whether big or small, even though it can be scary.

Always thinking of the negatives.

People who are always thinking of the negative tend to drag other people's energy down by trying to convince them that nothing good is possible and that all ideas and dreams are only delusions and this behavior really breaks friendship.

That's why is very helpful to focus on the positive side of things and live happily and even allow your happiness to rub up on your friends everyone loves a cheerful friend.

Gossiping others.

Talking about others behind their backs is not healthy and is yet another hindrance in building a meaningful friendship and even keeping one.

People basically don't like to be around someone who loves analyzing others it kind of makes them feel you will do the same to them when they not around and it will definitely make it difficult for them to share any of their personal issues with you because they probably think it will become a topic of gossip among others.

So instead of talking about other people's life, discuss events and ideas, and that way, useful information will be gained.

Lack of empathy and compassion.

Everyone has the desire to be understood so considering others' emotions is a wonderful quality to have as a friend.

It's good to be concerned about others just try to put yourself in the situation they are in, it can really help you to relate more to what others are going through.

Having compassion for others not only helps us to understand them, but it also helps us to understand ourselves.

It gives us a sense of being human and helps us understand that we all need people who are compassionate around us.

Friendship is definitely a beautiful relationship that everyone should experience so try not to push people away because friends are people who make you smile brighter, laugh louder, and live better.
